Mother & Baby Yoga

The postnatal period is a very special time for mothers and babies.  These classes are designed to provide a supportive setting in which to enjoy getting to know your baby and are intended for new babies to toddlers.

Classes include yoga for mums, yoga for babies and integrated practices for mums and babies together.  There is a mix of passive stretches and rhythmical movements with singing and action songs, postnatal recovery yoga for mums to help improve posture, re-energise and rejuvenate.

The classes are casual and friendly so that babies can be fed, changed, comforted or sleep whenever they need.  The session will usually end with relaxation time, learning to be at ease in each other’s presence over the postnatal year and beyond, followed by a cup of tea and a chat!

Dads who would like to join would be more than welcome too.

Please bring a yoga mat and any other equipment you wish (cushion, blocks, etc). Please feel free to bring anything that helps you and your baby to be happy for the duration of the class e.g. changing mat, spare clothes etc. Many mother like to bring along a muslin or small cloth which is a familiar thing for the baby to lie on.

In addition to her Yoga teacher training, Jodi has further specialised training in Yoga for Mothers and Babies with Uma Dinsmore-Tuli.
